Here’s an interesting conundrum, because as you say, Martin, the Body of Christ is not re-born, or of any idea of renewal, but rather we are a new creation …

So then, in light of this spiritual fact, how does one explain what some author said in Titus 3:5 …

“…not out of~the works in with~righteousness, of~which [works], we, we had done,
but according-to the mercy of~Same; to~us He had saved
through an~again-becoming of~a~bathing, and of~a~renewal of~sanctified spirit;” (~robin)

That is, the noun “an~again-becoming” is not how one would describe a completely new creation;
nor does it make much sense to talk about a renewal of sanctified spirit, when God doesn’t simply renew and recharge some sanctified spirit we already had, but rather He places within us a new spirit. His very spirit dwelling in us would surely not be needing any so-called renewal!

Does this sound to you, like our apostle Paul really wrote this?
