The word family for the Greek adjective “kainE” is usually read as “new” …”a~new [one];”
however, this word talks to what is qualitatively new, so the better reading would be “improved.”
In Pauline scriptures, this word is used nine times, and in all cases, it’s talking about matters that are always qualitatively new.
