No doubt Martin!Just recently I attempted to share some of the wonderful truths we have concerning the body of Christ and our hope and allotment with a family or relative of mine.Sad to say but I was told that there’s a heaven to await and a hell to escape and a crown of life for the faithful.Then they quoted John 3:16 and then threw in Ephesians 3:16 for good measure from the left field.But this didn’t catch me by surprise from the individual who happened to be raised in the protestant evangelical holiness church.In the state ment above I can see the fear-laced religious disposition and the held belief of an eternal punishment for those who do not believe.I was told,”I respect your beliefs, but I don’t embrace them”.She was a youth leader back in her teens at “church”.Always telling me she loves me and is praying for me constantly in her phone texts.She is my mother.May God bless her how and when He sees fit with the knowledge of the truth.May He help me to not be judgemental of her in her condition as well as of all the rest who profess to know Him.
